Ledger Boys Stun #1 Ranked KML
Collin Ottery’s floater in the lane with 1.3 seconds left lifted the St. Mary’s Springs boys basketball team to a 58-56 win over #1 ranked Kettle Moraine Luthearn on Thursday night at the Hutter Gym. On Senior Night, the Ledger fell behind 10-0 to the top team in Division Three, but were able to cut that deficit to 33-30 at the half. The Ledgers led by one after three. Ottery finished with 19 points. Cory Nies added 12. St. Mary’s Springs (16-6, 11-3) have a #2 seed and will other either Markesan or Green Lake-Princeton in the D4 Regional Semifinals next Friday night. KML (20-2, 13-1) wins the Flway Conference by 1 game over 2nd place Laconia. They are a #1 seed in the D3 bracket.
