Ledgeview Fire Source Undetermined

An official with the Fond du Lac Fire Department says they did not find a definitive cause for a fire that destroyed a home on Ledgeview Avenue last month. Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase says they know it started in the kitchen of the home at 180 Ledgeview Avenue. He says they can’t say if it was an electrical outlet or appliance that started the blaze. He says the homeowners were not at fault. He says they were dropping off their kids at school when the blaze started and it was well underway when they got back home. Haase says it was heartbreaking after the fire to search the home for something they could salvage for the kids. He says they were looking for teddy bears and blankets.
