LEGO Master Builder Creates Display For Childrens Museum

Ben Pitchford of Fond du Lac and his son Maxwell have created a display for the Children’s Museum in Fond du Lac that should delight people of all ages. He used 120,000 LEGO pieces to recreate Rivendell from the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies. Katie Zurawski of the Children’s Museum says it’s located near the front desk. She says the creation is interactive because Pitchford has hidden five holiday mini-figures in the display. The figures include Santa and Mrs. Claus, a gingerbread man, and elves. Zurawski says the display is 4 foot wide, 3 ½ feet long, and 4 foot tall. She says it took several people and a U-Haul to move it to the museum. It’s on display now until the next LEGO Night event at the museum, which will be held on Friday, January 2nd from 4 to 7 p.m.
