Less State Aid For NFDL School District This Year

The North Fond du Lac School District will be receiving about $44,000 less in school aid from the state this academic year. It is a minimal cut, but next year the district should receive more aid because student enrollment is up. North Fond du Lac Schools Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says their enrollment was up by 74 students this year. Since aid is in part based on a 3 year rolling average for enrollment the district should receive more aid in 2018-19. Sadoff notes their enrollment has increased by 17 percent or more than 200 students over the past four years. Of the 422 public school districts receiving state aid this year 188 will see increases in general aid, 230 less aid, and four will receive the same level of aid.
