Letters Of Complaint Released In Dodge County Sheriff’s Race

The Sheriff’s race in Dodge County takes a nasty turn with the candidates sharing information from other employees. Sergeant Dale Schmidt, who won the August primary over incumbent Sheriff Pat Ninmann, released 12 letters of complaint Tuesday from Sheriff’s dispatchers who worked for Ninmann when she supervised that department prior to being sheriff. He read sections from some of them giving examples of some of the problems those employees experienced. Ninmann says she does care about her employees and Schmidt is drumming up things they’ve moved past and rehashing them is causing the problems. Ninmann admits she was not a perfect supervisor when she first took the job but has improved vastly since then. Schmidt with held his public file online, not wanting to share personal information about his family.
