Library Gallery Features 25 Year Retrospective

The culmination of a lifetime creating art will be on display in the exhibit, “Sharon Konz Garrison 25 Years of Art: Retrospective,” March 4 to April 1 at the Langdon Divers Gallery at the Fond du Lac Public Library.

The public is invited to a reception 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 12. Refreshments will be served.

Garrison’s love of art started early when, as a teen, she won a box of pastels in the Helen Farnsworth Mears Art Program Contest. After lying dormant while raising an active family, Garrison jumped back in with both feet, taking painting classes, entering contests, showing her work and, after 31 years as a stay-at-home wife and mother, earning her bachelor degree in Fine Arts. Today, Garrison is a member of Fond du Lac Visual Arts and paints, creates prints, enters contests and shows her art in galleries around Wisconsin.

The library gallery is a showcase for local and regional artists. The space is curated by volunteer Mel Kolstad, who can be reached at mel@kolstad.net. .
