“Living Schoolyard” Project Underway In Waupun

The School for Agricultural & Environmental Studies, or SAGES Charter School in the Waupun School District is seeing the building phase of its long awaited “Living Schoolyard” project get underway. Sheri Hicken is the Agricultural Educator and Community Outreach representative with SAGES – she tells KFIZ News this “Living Schoolyard” is going to be used for both learning and play.

Hicken explains the schoolyard will be filled with as many repurposed items as possible, including old slides, used tractor tires and natural materials like stumps, branches and boulders.

A brat fry fundraiser will be held this Sunday from 10 am until 2 pm at LeRoy Meats in Fox Lake with proceeds going to support the Living Schoolyard Project.
