Local Contractors Excited About Career Construction Academy

Stakeholders in the Fond du Lac High School Career Construction Academy are excited about the prospect of teaching students about all aspects of the buildings trade. Pat Smith says the 6,000 square foot facility will allow them to teach the students under one roof. That includes things like plumbing, electrical, carpentry and masonry. There will also be a classroom that can teach construction management and architecture. Joe Mand says it is important to give kids a chance to see what types of opportunities there are in the construction field. The Fond du Lac School Board this week approved funding up to $750,000 of the $1.1 million project with a March 1st groundbreaking.
