Local FDL Woman Killed In Illinois Crash

A Fond du Lac woman was killed, and 3 other people were injured, in an accident on I-55 in Illinois Monday afternoon. 

Robin L. Francis, age 82, was pronounced dead at the scene. Francis was a passenger in a vehicle that was northbound on I-55, when it struck another vehicle that had stopped in the left lane, due to a wheel being in the roadway. The vehicle Francis was in, then hit a semi that was on the shoulder of the road. 

Injured in the crash was 74-year old Rick Jaeger of Fond du Lac, who was driving the vehicle. The driver of the truck and the driver of the vehicle stuck in the roadway received minor injuries. The crash occurred just before 4 p.m. Monday.
