Local Herb Kohl Foundation Award Winners Announced

The selection committee for the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Student Scholarship and Teacher Fellowship program has announced recipients of the Herb Kohl Foundation awards for Wisconsin students, teachers and principals.

Awards in the amount of $6,000 are being made to 101 teachers, 16 principals, and their schools, and $10,000 scholarships will be given to 200 graduating high school students. 

Local Student Excellence Scholar winners are:

Katherine Fabricius of Fond du Lac St. Mary’s Springs Academy, Caledonia Grant from Ripon High School and Joseph Krahn from Campbellsport High School.

Student Initiative Scholar winners include Luz Cortes, Fond du LacHigh School and Xavior Costigan from Lomira High School. 

Teacher Fellows Awards were given to Sarah McDowell, Bessie Allen Middle School in North Fond du Lac and Angela Petersen from the i4Learning Community School in Campbellsport.
