Busy Day For FDL Fire And Rescue

Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue held their annual awards ceremony this week. It was on Thursday and it recognized some of the department’s life saving efforts including honoring the ambulance and engine crews that tried to save the life of State Trooper Trevor Casper last year when he got in a shoot out with bank robber Steven Snyder. Thursday wasn’t a typical day for the department and not because of the awards ceremony. During the course of their day they were called to two serious vehicle accidents on Highway 23 and a car fire. Chief Peter O’Leary says that’s what they are all about.
