Senator Ron Johnson says more needs to be done to prevent spread of the Ebola
Virus. The Wisconsin Republican believes stopping flights from West Africa would not completely prevent someone from
bringing in Ebola into the U-S. 
and health officials at airports in Washington,
Chicago, Atlanta
and Newark will
take the temperatures of passengers from three West African countries starting
Thursday. Screenings began at New York‘s Kennedy International Airport


Book Fair Today


A book fair at the Fond du
Lac City-County Government Center today will benefit the Fond du Lac Area United Way. Books will
be 30 to 70 percent off during the Books Are Fun Book & Gift Fair. United
Way Executive Director Tina Potter says reading and learning are important
especially for young children. Hour for the book fair are from 10 a.m. to 2
p.m. It will be held in the first floor lobby.

Deer vs. Car


(WRN) The time of year when car-deer crashes spike.Dave
Pabst heads the Bureau of Traffic Safety for the state DOT. Last year, there
were more than 18-thousand car-deer crashes in Wisconsin. Waukesha
County had the most, followed by Dane
and Shawano Counties. And they can be deadly…there
were eight fatalities from collisions with deer last year, six involving




This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Rustic Roads program which
recognizes Wisconsin‘s
scenic state and county roads. Scenic Byways and Rustic Roads Coordinator Jane
Carrola says Wisconsin‘s
Rustic Roads program captures some of the best scenery nature has to offer. DOT officials are asking for your best
photos from the rustic roads to commemorate the anniversary. The contest runs
