Local Woman Loses $160,000 Online

We told you about a number of online scams yesterday, with two victims losing money both times. 

A 3^rd online victim has been reported this week. FDL Police were called Tuesday to the 800 Block of S. Park Ave. Police were told by the woman that called, that she had wired over $160,000 to a man she said was from Milwaukee. 

The man had initially had informed the woman that he would be sending her a check for $500,000. He did send the check, but it was fraudulent. The victim is working with her bank and local authorities in the attempt to recover the funds.
