Lomira Man Injured in Washington Co. Motorcycle Accident

A 52-year-old man from Lomira was injured in a motorcycle
accident in Washington County Saturday night. The Washington County Sheriff’s
Office responded around 11:20 PM Saturday to a crash between a motorcycle and
car on Highway 28 around a half-mile west of Lake Bernice Drive in the Town of
Wayne. The Lomira man was operating the motorcycle and was flown by Flight for
Life to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee with unknown injuries. The driver of the
car was not injured. Preliminary investigation by the Sheriff’s Office shows
the motorcyclist had swerved into oncoming traffic. Investigators say alcohol
is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash. Highway 28 was closed for
around two hours as crews worked the scene.
