Lomira PD’s new K-9 Officer to be Sworn In Tonight

The Lomira Police Department will be officially welcoming
its new K-9 officer to the force tonight. K-9 Gandor will officially be sworn
in at the Village Board meeting tonight at 7:30, and the public is invited to
meet Gandor right before the meeting tonight at 7. The public event will be in
the Community Room of the Village Municipal Complex in Lomira. Gandor is a
two-year-old purebred German Shepherd from Holland, who is trained to detect
narcotics, locate missing people and protect his handler with bite work. Gandor
and his handler, Officer Mike Rowe, have been training together for the last
several weeks forming a bond and then moving on to the advanced stages.
