Longtime FDL Librarian Thanked For Her Service

The Fond du Lac City Council Wednesday evening recognized Susan Ringer for the 39 years and six months she worked for the Public Library. Ringer retired on March 1st. Library Director Jon Mark Bolthouse was on hand for the presentation of the proclamation. He pointed out managing the library’s large collection is a bit like tending a garden. Bolthouse says when it came to the library Ringer was a master gardener. He says, “We were so lucky to have Susan who is just an amazing gardener. She managed that collection in a way that I think none of us could ever meet and we do appreciate that. I know that you did touch thousands of lives for the time that you were here, so thank you.” Ringer was presented with a copy of the proclamation and a key to the City. She said it was a pleasure working at the library. (In the photo left to right; City Council President Karyn Merkel, Susan Ringer, and Library Director Jon Mark Bolthouse)
