Madison-area fire fighter killed by drunk driver

A deadly crash on the Beltline in Monona leaves a firefighter dead. The crash involved multiple vehicles and happened at approx 6:50pm Monday night. On the scene was Lake Mills Fire Captain Christopher Truman, who got out of his vehicle to assist the victims, when he was struck by another vehicle, driven by Samuel Cremers. Truman was taken to a local hospital where he later died. Cremers now faces charges of homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Vehicle.
