Mail Found In Ditch Last Week Did Not Contain WI Absentee Ballots

Three trays of mail found in an Outagamie County ditch last week reportedly included absentee ballots. Wisconsin Elections Commission director Meagan Wolfe said Thursday that if there were any ballots, none were from Wisconsin

“I don’t know all that was included in the mail that was found, but we have been told that it did not include any Wisconsin ballots.”

The U.S. Postal Service is investigating. Wolfe said state election officials have ways to track down missing ballots, but emphasized the importance of returning absentee ballots as soon as possible.
