Male Found Dead On Tracks In Oshkosh

The Oshkosh Police Department is currently investigating an incident in which a male was found dead on the railroad tracks in the area of Washington Avenue and Broad Street in the City of Oshkosh.

Officers were notified Saturday morning (December 18, 2021) at approximately 1:49 am by Canadian National Railroad. The caller stated that as the train was traveling south through the area of Washington Avenue and Broad Street, the train hit something but they weren’t sure what it was.

Officers arrived on scene and located the male, who has been identified as a 22 year old male from Oshkosh.  

His death does not appear suspicious at this time. Investigators from the Oshkosh Police Department and the Winnebago County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate this incident.
