Man Arrested In Waupun On 2nd Offense OWI, Registers .395

Thankfully, no one was hurt. That’s the feeling of FDL County Sheriff’s Deputies who were called out just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon for reports of a car driving into a cornfield. Deputies were called to the area of Hwy. 26 and South Fontage Rd. in Waupun, where a vehicle missed a stop sign and drove into a field. There were no reported injuries, but Deputies took a 41-year old male into custody on a number of traffic violations, which included open intoxicants, failure to wear a seatbelt, and failure to maintain control of a vehicle. The man’s BAC registered .395, which is almost five times the legal limit of .08. He was also charged with a 2nd offense OWI.
