Man Charged After Stabbing Incident near Campbellsport last Weekend

A 33-year-old man from Campbellsport is facing charges after
he allegedly tried to kill his fiancée after an argument last weekend. James Allen
made his initial appearance in Fond du Lac County Court Thursday, where he was
charged with Attempted 1st degree Intentional Homicide and Aggravated
Battery with intent to cause Great Bodily Harm. A criminal complaint says Allen
stabbed his fiancée in the neck with a pocketknife while she was driving at
highway speed early last Saturday morning. Allen flagged down another car and said
he had just tried to kill his fiancée. The driver of that car called 9-1-1. The
fiancée was flown to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center In Neenah for treatment.
Allen is being held in the County Jail on a $500,000 cash bond. He’s due for a
preliminary hearing on May 2nd.
