Man Faces Drug, Traffic Charges in Outagamie County Thanksgiving Rampage

A man is in custody after a wild Thanksgiving night incident involving several vehicles collisions near Appleton. The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office says the man intentionally crashed into a home, injuring one person, before ramming his car into five other doors on that property and crashing into a garage door at another home.
He then stole a black Cadillac Escalade and crashed it into the back of an Appleton International Airport Public Safety truck before several reports of a reckless driver were reported near Greenville around 11:00pm. The suspect also stole a black F-150 from a person who stopped to help with the initial crash – driving off with a 13-year old girl who was in the truck, along with a rifle. The man apparently dumped the girl at a nearby gas station, unharmed.
Police then tracked her cellphone to find the truck near the Town of Dale. On their way to find the suspect, another hit and run call was reported.
Officers eventually arrested the man when he tried to run away through a field. He reportedly had methamphetamine on him, and drug use was a factor in the incident. He could face a series of charges, including kidnapping, reckless endangerment, multiple counts of vehicle theft, damage to property, hit and run causing injury, burglary, and disorderly conduct.
