Man Pinned as ‘Person of Interest’ in Fire, Death

Update: (4:00 pm): 

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office now says that two bodies were found at the scene of a house fire in the Town of Clayton earlier this morning. Fire crews responded to the home along Breezewood Lane round 7 AM. Until the bodies are positively identified, the alert for 35-year-old Jeremy Wallenfang will remain active, however the sheriff’s office says they are not actively looking for him and don’t have any leads.

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man – after responding to a house fire along Breezewood Lane in the Town of Clayton around 7:00 Tuesday morning. Initial reports show there may have been shots fired at the home, and the body of one person has been recovered. 35-year old Jeremy Wallenfang is being considered a person of interest and may be armed. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call police.
