Mercury, Masters And Alliance Among MOF Award Winners

Three area manufacturers were among those receiving Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year awards Thursday night in Milwaukee. Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac won a Grand Award in the Mega Category. “We’re extremely honored to be named Manufacturer of the Year,” said Mark Schwabero, president of Mercury Marine. “The award is a testament to the efforts and commitment of Mercury employees over the past 75 years, and our relentless determination to position Mercury as the world’s leading manufacturer of marine propulsion systems. Our values-based culture makes Mercury an integral part of the fabric of many Wisconsin families and communities.” Masters Gallery Foods of Plymouth received a Grand Award in the Large Category. Masters is a leading national cheese supplier with one of the largest privately held cheese inventories in the country. Alliance Laundry Systems of Ripon received a special award the Investing Locally, Growing Globally Award. Alliance completed a major $23 million plant expansion in September 2013. Less than two months later, they announced a second, even bigger expansion of its manufacturing and assembly facilities in Ripon – a $46 million project, the largest in their history.
