Milk Truck Hauler Hurt In Green Lake County Rollover Dies

Green Lake County Sheriff’s officials say the Richland Center man driving the semi-truck that overturned on State Highway 44 in the Town of Green Lake last Sunday evening has died. Roger Wahl died early this (Tuesday) morning. After he was freed from the wreckage a Flight for Life helicopter flew him to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. The truck was carrying milk some of which spilled into the ditch the truck overturned into.

An 82-year-old Richland Center man was seriously injured when the semi-truck he was driving overturned on State Highway 44 in the Town of Green Lake Sunday evening. Green Lake County Sheriff’s officials say he lost control of the rig hauling milk and entered a ditch where truck and trailer overturned. After Jaws of Life were used to free him, Flight for Life flew him to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center. Some of the milk spilled into the ditch and an adjacent field. The accident was reported just before 5:30 Sunday evening. It happened about 3 miles north of Markesan.
