Milwaukee Man Charged In FDL County Overdose Death Dies

A first degree reckless homicide charge has been dismissed against a 58-year-old Milwaukee man who died after battling cancer. The charge against Reginald Dorsey was formally dismissed in Fond du Lac County Court Thursday. Dorsey is one of two men suspected of supplying 28-year-old Adam Ellman of Fond du Lac with the heroin that led to his death in July of 2012. The other is 50-year-old Jeffrey Abitz of Fond du Lac who drove Ellman to Dorsey’s residence in Milwaukee the day before Ellman’s death to buy percocet and heroin. Dorsey admitted to detectives he facilitated the heroin transaction by calling the heroin source he knew. Abitz has a motion hearing scheduled in his case on October 31st. He’s facing the same charge.
