Milwaukee Man Charged In FDL Man’s Heroin Death

A 56-year-old Milwaukee man was charged in Fond du Lac County Court yesterday for his role in the heroin overdose death of a Fond du Lac man. Reginald Dorsey was charged Tuesday with 1st degree reckless homicide for the July 3rd 2012 death of 28-year-old Adam Ellman of Fond du Lac. According to the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s autopsy report Ellman died of Heroin Toxicity. According to the criminal complaint Forty-nine-year-old Jeffrey Abitz of Lomira allegedly drove Ellman down to Dorsey’s residence in Milwaukee the day before his death to buy percocet and heroin. Dorsey allegedly admitted to detectives he facilitated the heroin transaction by calling the heroin source he knew. Bond has been set at $20,000 cash for Dorsey, although District Attorney Eric Toney had requested a $200,000 cash bond. He has a preliminary hearing on August 16th.  Abitz has a preliminary hearing in his case tomorrow afternoon. He is also charged with 1st degree reckless homicide.
