Milwaukee Man in Custody after FDL High Speed Chase

A 23 year old man from Milwaukee is in custody after he led Fond du Lac Police on a high speed chase
through a portion of the city Wednesday afternoon. Authorities say they pulled
over the man for a reckless driving violation near 4^th and Main
streets when he fled the scene. The suspect lost control of his vehicle in the
area of 8^th and Lloyd Streets where he struck two parked vehicles
and then the front porches of two separate houses. The car then came to rest in
the driveway of a home on 8^th
Street near Star Street. The suspect fled on foot but
was taken into custody after a short chase. He is being held in the Fond du Lac
County Jail on a probation hold and faces charges of eluding police, operating
a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent, possession of drug paraphernalia,
reckless driving, and suspected operation of a motor vehicle under the
influence of drugs or alcohol. The suspect sustained a minor injury from the crash.
No police officers were injured. The incident was first reported around 4pm.
