Milwaukee Man In Jail Following Early Morning Pursuit In FDL County

It seems like a broken record. Another attempted traffic stop, and another pursuit in Fond du Lac County.

A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle Friday morning at about 1:05 a.m., for a speeding violation on I-41 near Johnson St.

Shortly before the stop, the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office had been made aware that this same vehicle was just involved in a separate pursuit with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in their County.

The suspect vehicle failed to obey the Fond du Lac County Deputy’s visual and audible signal to stop causing a pursuit to ensue.

Deputies successfully used a tire deflation device on the suspect vehicle, causing the operator to stop the vehicle on I-41 northbound at CTH N in the Town of Eldorado.  A high-risk traffic stop was conducted shutting down I-41 north for a brief period before resuming normal traffic.  The operator and lone occupant was taken into custody without further incident.

The operator is a 39-year-old male from Milwaukee who is currently housed at the Fond du Lac County Jail, and is facing a felony charge for fleeing eluding in addition to receiving multiple traffic citations.
