Milwaukee Woman Sentenced To Prison For FDL County Drug Death

A 55-year-old Milwaukee woman responsible for a heroin-related death in Fond du Lac County was sentenced Friday. This past February Andrea Griffin pled “no contest” to a 1st degree reckless homicide charge. A heroin trafficking charge was dismissed on a prosecutor’s motion. Judge Richard Nuss sentenced Griffin to 8 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision. Charges stem from the August 21st, 2014 death of Carolyn Tries. According to the criminal complaint Tries died in the 200 block of Sheboygan Street in Fond du Lac from drugs she bought from Griffin.
