Minor Injuries Reported in Crash Involving School Bus in Dodge County

Two people were taken to the hospital after a crash
involving a school bus in Dodge County Thursday morning. The Dodge County
Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene on Jefferson Road in the Town of Rubicon
around 7:30 AM. A news release says a 47-year-old man from Rubicon was driving a
van south on Jefferson road when he came upon a school bus with its lights
activated. The van was unable to stop due to slippery conditions and collided
with the back of the bus. The driver of the bus, identified as a 39-year-old
Hartford man, and all of the children on the bus were not injured. The driver
of the van and his passenger were taken to Aurora Medical Center in Hartford
for minor injuries. The children on the school bus were taken to school by
another bus, or their parents. The crash remains under investigation.
