Missing Boy Was Going To Grandma’s House

A happy ending as a 5-year-old Fond du Lac boy who went missing on the heels of a thunderstorm is found safe and sound. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says the boy’s father left for work and about 5:25 a.m. this morning his mother reported him missing. Several people driving by saw the child clad in only a t-shirt and pajama pants walking along Brooke Street. A police officer found the boy near the intersection of Brooke and McWilliams, which isn’t far from Scott Street where his grandmother lives and where he said he was going. Social Services was contacted and the boy was safely returned home. Klein says so many things could have gone wrong, but thankfully did not. Thunderstorms were still moving through the area when the boy went missing and a train was going through a crossing just down the street from an intersection he was spotted at.
