Brewers Lose

Cincinnati won their series finale with the Brewers 5-1 on Sunday afternoon at Great American Ballpark.  Carlos Gomez hit his 12th homer of the season for the Brewers only run.  Milwaukee takes Monday off before opening up an interleague series in Houston on Tuesday night.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.

Spurs Take Series Lead

The San Antonio Spurs are one win from an NBA title after downing Miami 114-104 on Sunday night in Texas.  Tony Parker had 26 while Manu Ginobili and Danny Green added 24 each.  LeBron James had 25 in a losing effort.  Game 6 is on Tuesday night in Miami.

Rose Win U.S. Open

Justin Rose shot an even par 70 to win the U.S. Open at Merion by two shots over Phil Mickelson and Jason Day.  Rose was one over par for the tournament.  After a triple-bogey 8 on #2 Wisconsin native Steve Stricker finished tied for sixth at +6.  Fellow Wisconsinite Jerry Kelly finished tied for 41st at +14.  Tiger Woods was 13 over par for the event.

Biffle Wins

Greg Biffle won the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan on Sunday.  Kevin Harvick was 2nd.  Matt Kenseth was 6th.

Driver Softball Game

Fans packed Appleton’s Fox Cities Stadium on Sunday to watch the Packers defense beat the Packers offense 24-20 in the annual Donald Driver Charity Softball Game.
