More Counterfeit Money Surfaces In FDL

Fond du Lac Police are warning business owners to be on the look out for counterfeit
money. Police were called to the Family Dollar store on S. Main St.,
Tuesday afternoon just before 1:00 p.m., where an employee said a female customer
had attempted to pass a fake $100. The woman left with the phony currency, and
got into a car with a male driver and took off.

FDL Police were then called
about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday to the Dollar Tree on N. Rolling Meadows Dr., where store
employees said they had received two fake $100 bills over the weekend. A male in
his 60’s had been identified as a possible suspect. Police were reviewing store
surveillance video in both cases, and anyone with information that could assist
in the investigations is asked to contact the FDL PD.
