More To Story About Missing Ripon Man

Update: Ripon Police say Curtis Anderson has been found and will be returned to the Waushara County Sheriff’s Department. They did not say where he was found.

There’s a little more to the story about a 57-year-old man who walked away from a residential facility in Ripon over the weekend. Ripon Police Chief Dave Lukoski says a Waushara County judge had Curtis Anderson placed at the Copper Leaf Village residential facility. According to court records there were questions about Anderson’s competency regarding charges of violating a restraining order, threats to injure, and intimidating a victim. Anderson asked for a re-evaluation of his competency last week, but the judge said that re-evaluation could happen at any point in time. He was placed at Cooper Leaf in May. Chief Lukoski says when Anderson was reported missing Friday night they conducted a search for him, but were unable to locate him. He says Anderson was capable of walking away. Lukoski says they no longer believe Anderson to be in the Ripon area. He says if someone has seen him they should call Ripon Police (920-748-2888) or the Waushara County Sheriff’s Department (920-787-3321).
