Motorcycle Chase Ends With Arrest In NFDL

A motorcycle chase that started in Winnebago County Friday night, ended with an arrest in Fond du Lac County.

FDL County Sheriff’s Deputies were alerted Friday night, June 18th, 2021 at 10:08pm, by the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office of a motorcycle that had fled from a traffic stop on Interstate 41.

A Fond du Lac County deputy located the motorcycle on Interstate 41 near Sales Rd. in the Town of Eldorado and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.  The driver increased speeds and failed to stop.  A short pursuit was initiated before ultimately being terminated on Interstate 41 near Cty OO as the suspect exited the Interstate.  

Thanks to the help of witnesses, the motorcycle was located at a residence in North Fond du Lac.  The driver of the motorcycle was identified and taken into custody. The 27 year-old Oshkosh man was held on charges of Felony Eluding, OWI 4th Offense, and numerous traffic citations.  He will also  face charges in Winnebago County.

The Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the North Fond du Lac Police Department in the pursuit, which spanned 3.8 miles.
