Motorcycle Crash Takes The Life Of One In Ashford

A Monday evening motorcycle crash leaves one person dead. The accident happened Monday, September 9, 2020, at 6:13 pm on CTH W at Midland Dr. in the Town of Ashford. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office along with Campbellsport Ambulance and Fire Department were called to the scene for a crash involving a lone motorcyclist. 

Preliminary investigation shows that a motorcycle traveling south, driven by a 60-year-old Pewaukee man, failed to negotiate the curve and drove into the ditch. The motorcycle overturned several times, ejecting the driver.  The driver was not wearing a helmet. He was transported to St. Agnes Hospital by Campbellsport Ambulance, where he died of his injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office. Assisting at the scene were the City of Fond du Lac Ambulance and the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s Office
