MPS Schools To Remain Intact As Long As Evers Is In Office

Milwaukee Public Schools will not be split up as long as Governor Evers is in office.

Republican state lawmakers are proposing dividing the Milwaukee School District into as many as eight smaller districts, and then let Milwaukee families choose which school they want their kids to attend.

Governor Evers says that idea turns children into pawns in a political game.

Supporters of the plan say Milwaukee schools are failing kids, and something must be done.
