MPTC Boot Camps A Success

Moraine Park Technical College Dean of Economic and Workforce Development Jo Ann Hall says their CNC (Computer Numerical Control) and Welding boot camps are getting people into jobs faster and filling the needs of area employers. She says they began the boot camps eight years ago. Typically they camps runs for 12 to 15 weeks. She says people in the boot camps get the education and training they need, but more importantly that includes a paid internship with an employer partner. She says they have held 28 boot camps and 240 people have graduated from them. She says they are all walking into jobs. She says their last graduating class was in May and she says everyone in that class had a job the following Monday. She says on July 11th they will have a test drive event at their Fond du Lac campus for those who might be interested in boot camps this fall. She says the CNC boot camp will be in Fond du Lac and the one for welding in Beaver Dam.
