MPTC Extends Campus Accessibility

Despite very few COVID-19-related illnesses and low exposure risk on campus, Moraine Park Technical College has made the decision to extend their limited campus accessibility restrictions until at least January 4,2021. That announcement was made by Moraine Park President Bonnie Baerwald, who said “While we all know this could change quickly, our leadership team is hopeful the safety measures implemented, as well as our students and staff’s continued accountability for personal health and hygiene, will help these efforts.”

The extension will not affect MPTC classes, events or activities. Decisions will be made once Moraine Park gets closer to the January 4 date as to the exact opening of the campuses to faculty, students and staff. Moraine Park had announced a five-phase Reopening Plan back in June, and has navigated safely and successfully through the first four phases. Phase Five is expected to be implemented on October 1, with this revision. For more information, visit morainepark.edu/coronavirus.
