MPTC Signs Off On Articulation Agreement

In what could be the start of a number of other similar agreements, Moraine Park Technical College President Bonnie Baerwald and Lakeland University President Dr. Beth Borgen have both signed off an articulation agreement between the two educational entities.

The agreement means anyone who obtains an Associate of Arts or Science degree at MPTC will then be able to transfer those credits to Lakeland University, to be used to complete a 4-year degree.

It would also mean a potential savings of thousands of dollars annually with transfer students starting at Lakeland University essentially as juniors.

MPTC hopes to put similar plans in place with UW-Oshkosh, UW-Green Bay, UW-Milwaukee, and Marian University.

The agreement with Lakeland University took nearly 9 months and needed the approval of the UW Board of Regents.
