Multiple Accidents In City Of Fond du Lac Friday

Friday the 13th came a week early for a number of motorists in the City of Fond du Lac.

A number of traffic accidents occurred within a few hours Friday, August 6th, beginning with a rollover accident being reported at 12:35 p.m. at the corner of N. Park Ave. and E. Merrill Ave.

Fond du Lac PD was called to the scene for a one-vehicle rollover, but there were no reports of any serious injuries to the male driver of the vehicle, and no indication given as to what caused the vehicle to flip. It took crews nearly an hour to clear the vehicle and debris from the scene.

Officers were then called to the corner of N. Seymour St. and W. Johnson St. for a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle. The accident occurred just before 1:15 p.m. Friday (8/6/21), when a 54-year old female and a 15-year old male were entering the crosswalk near the intersection. The female was struck by a vehicle heading west near the 500 block of W. Johnson St. No serious injuries were reported, and the matter remains under investigation.

Less than 45 minutes later, a three vehicle accident was reported, with Officers being called to the corner of W. Johnson St. and N. Pioneer Rd., for reports of two trucks and a van from Brook Industries all involved. Again, no injuries were reported but an 18-year old male driver of one of the vehicles was cited.

Then, just before 3:25 p.m., FDL PD was called back to the corner of N. Park Ave., and E. Merrill Ave. for reports of a two-vehicle collision that occurred at the corner. A 37-year old male driver of one of the vehicles said his vehicle was struck, with the driver of the other vehicle leaving the scene. Officers did find out who was driving the vehicle that left the scene, and have made attempts to contact the male and he will be issued a citation. There were unknown injuries reported but no further details given as of this morning.

Fond du Lac PD was then called back to the corner of N. Park Ave. and E. Merrill Ave., for the third time on Friday, at approximately 9:10 p.m., when a 29-year old female driver stated she was driving south on Park Ave., when a vehicle heading west on Merrill Ave., failed to stop at the stop sign and struck her vehicle. The suspect vehicle then took. The female driver that was struck was unable to give any descriptions regarding the fleeing vehicle, and that accident remains under investigation.
