Multiple Injury And Fatal Accident In FDL County

Three people were injured and one person died when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Calmar Road and Fond du Lac County Highway W Wednesday afternoon. Sheriff’s Captain Rick Olig explains the injuries and death. He says a female died at the scene, a female was taken to Theda Clark Regional Medical Center and a male and female with non-life threatening injuries were taken to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. He says the woman with critical injuries taken to Theda Clark was flown there by Flight for Life. He says ThedaStar helicopter was also called for, but cancelled. The accident in the Town of Calumet happened when a westbound vehicle on Calmar Road failed to stop for a stop sign and was struck by a southbound pickup truck on County Highway W. A 911 call reported the accident at 1:28 p.m.  Responding agencies included the Sheriff’s Office, Mt Calvary Fire and EMS, Town of Calumet Fire and First Responders, Fond du Lac Fire Dept Paramedics and Flight for Life.

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies are working a two-vehicle accident at County Highway W and Calmar Road. It happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. Two people were reported to be unconscious and two others were pinned in. Two medical helicopters were dispatched to the scene and an ambulance.
