Multiple People Injured in Highway 151 Crash Tuesday Morning

A crash between two pickups on Highway 151 Tuesday morning resulted in multiple people being injured.

According to a press release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, emergency personnel were called  to the scene on southbound Highway 151 near Ducharme Parkway in the Town of Taycheedah around 7:10 Tuesday morning.

Investigators say a 17-year-old male from Malone was driving north on Highway 151 when he entered the median, then went into the southbound lanes of the highway, hitting a pickup being driven south by an 18-year-old man from Manitowoc.

Reports indicate the 17-year-old driver of the northbound pickup had to be removed from the vehicle and was flown by ThedaStar Helicopter to Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Neenah with serious injuries. His passenger, a 14-year-old male from Malone, was taken to St. Agnes Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries and released.

The 18-year-old Manitowoc man and his passenger, a 37-year-old man from Mishicot, refused medical treatment on scene. Both did report to St. Agnes Hospital after, and were treated and released with minor injuries.

Officials say alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.

Also assisting at the scene were the Wisconsin State Patrol, City of Fond du Lac Fire Department and Ambulance, and the Fond du Lac County Highway Department.
