Names More Details Released About Brandon Shooting

Both men killed in a murder-suicide in the Village of Brandon Wednesday were from Ripon. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Cameron McGee says the murder victim was 55-year-old Bradley Thayer and the man who shot him and then himself was 56-year-old Ronald Kolosky. It happened at the residence of a 53-year-old Brandon woman Kolosky visited earlier in the day. Kolosky left and Thayer showed up around 5 p.m. Kolosky shot Thayer after returning to the residence and then himself. McGee says a few words were exchanged between Kolosky and Thayer before that. McGee says the public has nothing to worry about because it wasn’t a random shooting. He says there was a connection between the three. McGee would not confirm what type of gun was used saying it is an ongoing investigation.
