Names Released from Saturday Motorcycle Crashes in Town of Osceola

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has released the
names of those involved in a series of motorcycle crashes in Fond du Lac
County on Saturday.

On Saturday – sheriff’s deputies responded to County
Highway F east of Highway 45 in the Town of Osceola where groups of motorcycles
were traveling eastbound on County F. One operator had lost control while
negotiating a curve and hit gravel, causing her to enter the ditch line.
55-year-old Sheri Bohenstengel of Sheboygan sustained injuries that were not
life-threatening in the crash. A nine-year-old passenger on that cycle was
taken to St. Agnes Hospital where she was treated and released.

A second motorcycle overturned after witnessing the first
crash. 47-year-old Michael D. Pratt of Saukville and 54-year-old Shannon L.
Seavers of Milwaukee were on that cycle. Pratt laid the cycle down on the road
to avoid a collision with the first motorcycle. He was not injured, but Seavers
sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A secondary crash happened at the same location following
the first series of crashes. There, James J. Kruase attempted to slow for the
first accident scene, but braked too quickly, causing him to lose control of the
cycle. Kruase was not injured.
