Names Released from Sunday Crash in the Town of Friendship

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has identified the people
involved in a crash between a motorcycle and a truck on Lakeshore Road in the
Town of Friendship Sunday afternoon.

Investigators say 58-year-old Stuart D. Muche was driving the
truck north on Lakeshore Road when he slowed to make a left-hand turn into a
driveway. He reportedly did not see the motorcycle being driven south and
turned into its path. 49-year-old Richard Detert of Fond du Lac was taken to
St. Agnes Hospital for treatment of critical injuries. His passenger, 37-year-old
Karen Detert – also of Fond du Lac – was airlifted to ThedaCare Regional
Medical Center in Neenah with serious injuries. Muche was not injured in the
crash.

Assisting at the scene were the Wisconsin State Patrol,
Town of Van Dyne Fire Department and First Responders and ambulance services
from the City of Fond du Lac and Village of North Fond du Lac.
