Names Released In Friday Evening Truck/Motorcycle Crash

An early Friday evening traffic accident in the Town of Taycheedah leaves one person dead, and one person in jail.  Fond du Lac County Sheriffs Deputies were called to the intersection of Winnebago Dr. and Taycheedah Way at 6:47 p.m. Friday evening, for reports of a crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle. 

Early investigation shows the pickup truck, driven by 27-year old Daniel Navarro of Fond du Lac, crossed the centerline and collided with the motorcycle that was headed west, being driven by  55-year old Phillip Thiessen, also of Fond du Lac. Thiessen was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene. Navarro was not injured, but he is being held in the FDL County Jail on suspicion of first degree intentional homicide. The crash remains under investigation.
