Naming Lake Winnebago Reefs

People now have the opportunity to have their names permanently tied to Lake Winnebago – while helping the lake’s walleye population. Walleyes for Tomorrow launched its reef project in 1997 in an effort to create a better habitat, which would produce more fish. After about 20 years and a million dollars later, there are a total of 141 reefs in the lake. Now, the group is selling naming rights for them – in an effort to recover the cost of building the reefs. There are 45 reefs left without a name, and depending on where it is, it costs between $1,000-$2,000 to put your name on one.
