This week is National Police Week, and the City of Fond du Lac Police Department is inviting the public to a Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Service on Wednesday. May 15th is Peace Officers Memorial Day, and Fond du Lac Police will be honoring all of our nation’s fallen law enforcement officers, and four officers that have been killed in the City of Fond du Lac. Officers William Prinslow, Nick Klaske and Craig Birkholz were city officers killed in the line of duty, while State Trooper Trevor Casper was shot and killed in Fond du Lac while trying to apprehend a bank robbery and murder suspect in March of 2015.

A multi-agency Honor Guard comprised of members of the City of Fond du Lac Police Department, Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department, North Fond du Lac Police Department and Wisconsin State Patrol will take part in the ceremony on Wednesday, and law enforcement officers from around Fond du Lac County will be in attendance.
